How is EPF funded?

Ensuring Positive Futures is part of a community programme called Equal - a European Social Fund Initiative which tests and promotes new means of combating all forms of discrimination and inequality in the labour market. The GB Equal Support Unit is managed by ECOTEC

EPF Objectives

  1. Helping people with HIV return to the workplace, and supporting them in employment.
  2. Preparing employers to employ people with HIV, and supporting them in developing HIV friendly policies.
  3. Encouraging Trade Unions to support people with HIV in the workplace.
  4. Lobby politicians to help encourage HIV friendly workplaces.
  5. Run media campaigns to raise awareness of HIV in the workplace, and to challenge stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV
  6. To pilot services across the UK to help people with HIV in the workplace, and to reach as many people as possible.

Six major HIV and AIDS charities are core partners in Ensuring Positive Futures.
